Jodhpur is a major jewellery manufacturing hub, making RhinoGold expertise one of the most sought-after CAD skills in the region. Our 3-month course takes you from the Rhino interface through ring construction, setting design, stone placement, and rendering — giving you the skills to work in jewellery design studios, manufacturing workshops, and CAD departments of established jewellery brands.

Detailed Syllabus

Week 1–2 Rhino Interface & NURBS Fundamentals

Topics: Viewports, OSnap, layers, curve tools, surface creation (loft, revolve, sweep), boolean basics

Project: Create 3 basic band ring profiles using curve revolution

Week 3–4 Ring Construction & Shanks

Topics: Half-round, comfort-fit, and cathedral shank profiles, sizing, finger curve, shoulder construction

Project: Complete set of 4 ring shank designs in different profiles

Week 5–6 Gem Settings — Prong & Bezel

Topics: 4-prong, 6-prong, and claw prong creation, bezel collet for round and fancy stones, partial bezel

Project: Design a solitaire engagement ring with prong and bezel variants

Week 7–8 Pave, Channel & Multiple Stone Layouts

Topics: Pave grid layout, micro-pave drill holes, channel setting rail, stone counting workflow

Project: Design a full eternity band and a 3-stone ring with channel setting

Week 9–10 Pendants, Earrings & Fancy Designs

Topics: Free-form pendant design, ear stud and drop earring construction, bangle profile, filigree basics

Project: Design a complete matching set: pendant and earrings

Week 11–12 Rendering, Manufacturing Output & Portfolio

Topics: KeyShot/Flamingo material setup, gold & platinum finishes, STL export, weight estimation, portfolio

Project: Render and present 8-piece jewellery portfolio for client review

Course Requirements

System Requirements

Windows 10/11 64-bit, min 16 GB RAM, dedicated GPU 2 GB+. Rhinoceros 7+ and RhinoGold plugin.

Prerequisites

Basic computer skills. No jewellery or CAD background required.

Eligibility

Age 16+, 10th pass minimum. Interest in jewellery design is essential.

Time Commitment

36 classroom hours + 36 hours self-practice per month.
