Week 1–2 Interface, Import & Basic Editing

Topics: Workspace panels, importing & organising media, sequence setup, basic cuts, in/out points, ripple delete

Project: Cut a 3-minute travel montage from supplied B-roll footage

Week 3–4 Transitions, Effects & Motion

Topics: Transition types, video effects, motion tab keyframes, speed/duration, time remapping, still exports

Project: Edit a 90-second product advertisement with graphics and transitions

Week 5–6 Colour Correction & Grading

Topics: Lumetri panel, scopes (waveform, vectorscope, parade), primary correction, secondary HSL, LUTs, LOG workflow

Project: Grade a short film scene to match a cinematic reference look

Week 7–8 Audio Mixing & Dialogue

Topics: Audio track mixer, EQ, compression, DeNoise, music beds, dialogue levelling, loudness targets (LUFS)

Project: Mix the audio for a 5-minute mini-documentary

Week 9–10 Multi-Cam, Captions & Advanced Workflow

Topics: Multicam sequence, sync by audio, auto-reframe, captions/SRT workflow, proxy editing, Dynamic Link

Project: Edit a 2-camera interview with full lower-thirds package

Week 11–12 Delivery, Social Formats & Portfolio

Course Requirements

System Requirements

Windows 10/11 or macOS 11+, min 16 GB RAM, fast SSD, dedicated GPU. Adobe Premiere Pro 2024.

Prerequisites

Basic computer skills. No prior video editing experience required.

Eligibility

Age 16+, 10th pass minimum.

Time Commitment

36 classroom hours + 40 hours practice editing per month.
