Adobe After Effects is the industry standard for motion graphics and visual effects, used in broadcast television, YouTube content, film post-production, and advertising. Our 3-month training course covers everything from basic keyframe animation to advanced compositing, particle systems, and expression-driven rigs. You'll build real broadcast-quality projects — animated lower-thirds, logo stings, title sequences, and green-screen composites — so you graduate with a showreel that gets noticed by studios and agencies.

Week 1–2 Interface, Layers & Keyframe Basics

Topics: AE workspace, composition settings, layer types, basic keyframes, easing, scale/position/rotation animation

Project: Animate an infographic with 5 animated data points

Week 3–4 Text Animation & Motion Graphics

Topics: Text animators, range selectors, kinetic typography, lower-third templates, shape layer design

Project: Create a 15-second animated brand intro for a fictional company

Week 5–6 Masking, Effects & Compositing Intro

Topics: Masks, track mattes, blending modes, CC effects, colour grading, adjustment layers

Project: Design and animate a news broadcast lower-third package

Week 7–8 Green Screen & Rotoscoping

Topics: Keylight workflow, spill suppression, rotoscoping with Roto Brush, colour matching composites

Project: Composite a presenter onto 3 different background scenes

Week 9–10 Particles, 3D & Motion Tracking

Topics: CC Particle World, Particular intro, 3D camera, camera tracker, point tracking, stabilisation

Project: Create a particle-based logo reveal with 3D camera move

Week 11–12 Expressions, Rendering & Showreel

Topics: Expression basics (wiggle, loopOut), Media Encoder, codec choices, Dynamic Link, showreel editing

Project: Compile and present a polished 60-second motion design showreel

Course Requirements

System Requirements

Windows 10/11 or macOS 11+, min 16 GB RAM, dedicated GPU with 4 GB VRAM. Adobe After Effects 2024.

Prerequisites

Basic Photoshop or Illustrator knowledge helpful. No animation experience required.

Eligibility

Age 16+, 10th pass minimum.

Time Commitment

36 classroom hours + 40 hours self-practice per month.
